The Pennsylvania Leadership Development Center (PLDC) programs and services are founded on the concepts of empowering people, shifting organizational language, design systems and customization.
Successful leaders understand organizations are complex because of the multi-personalities, interest, skills and motives of the people within and connected to the organization. PLDC organizational improvement are based upon the successfully empowering people to unify collective capacity, creativity and achievement.
The key to organizational improvement lies in the message, its clarity and consistency. A leader’s message is included in every decision, every question, every request, essentially everything that occurs within the system on a day to day basis. The reason why many organizations fail is not for a lack of trying - it is for a lack of focus and consistency language.
Design systems is a systematic approach to improvement; it uses a set of methods, procedures and process that will optimize performance of the people within the organization. The process is a combination of fundamental processes that are embedded in the organization’s people, language and systems.
PLDC is a member in the Mass Customized Learning Alliance and co-founders of the Mass Customized Learning Mid-Atlantic Consortium. PLDC support schools in the transformation from an industrial model of education to a customized / personalized model.
All programs are designed for how adults learn best. The programs incorporate Socratic questioning, simulations, collaboration and practice. Many of the programs are available in a blended-learning format that include face-to-face and virtual experiences.
